I have no doubt that everyone will inevitably read books on a computer or a reader or a phone and reading from an actual book will become obsolete. Of course, that doesn’t mean I have to like it. I love holding a book and watching the bookmark travel from front to back, seeing the progress I have made.
However, like everyone else, I also love free things. And I love reading Roger Ebert’s writing. Luckily — today only — I can combine those last two loves by downloading Ebert’s book “Awake in the Dark: The Best of Roger Ebert” for free.
The only thing better would be if they gave me a copy of the book for free, but I will happily take what I can get.
To download a free copy of “Awake in the Dark: The Best of Roger Ebert” — and remember, it’s for today only — go to www.press.uchicago.edu/ebooks/free_ebook.html.
