It is going to be a magical weekend for Warner Bros.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” took in $43.5 million from midnight screenings alone, breaking the $30 million record set by “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” last summer. Because “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” is in 4,375 theaters, the last installment of the epic saga is projected to make $80 million by the end of Friday.
Avada Kedavra, Edward Cullen!
In 2008, “The Dark Knight” grossed $158 million on opening weekend. “Hallows” will definitely surpass that. Internationally, “Hallows” will be financially successful as well. It has already taken in $58 million from 24 territories for a grand global total of $105 million thus far.
So, how much do you think “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” will make this weekend? I think it will bring in around $178 million domestic.
