“Hobo with a Shotgun” is a strange-looking cocktail of other films; two parts “The Warriors,” one part “The Road Warrior,” and just a dash of “Batman” for good measure.
This Canadian film is all violence and mayhem and, above all, it wants very badly to be a cult-film. Given that it has yet to appear in American cinemas, it’s certainly already on that path. The movie also stars a well known cult actor — Rutger Hauer, best known for his turn as the evil replicant in “Blade Runner.” Hauer plays the titular Hobo, who’s on a mission to clean up the streets of his dark, gang-ridden town.
“Hobo with a Shotgun” is still awaiting a U.S. release. In Canada, it’s currently playing a limited release run.

WOW, Ive been hearing about this movie for a long time, still not sure if the trailer is really that much of an attention getter to draw in the people.
I never thought I’d say this about any movie. I would see this just because Rutger Hauer is in it. Been a fan for years. I’m sold. I’ll probably be commenting again after I’ve seen it. There may be tears and booze involved too.
