I have to admit, after the abomination that was the poster for Idris Elba’s new heist flick, “Takers” (view it here, if you dare), I really expected the trailer for the movie to be terrible, as well.
It isn’t.
It isn’t good, either, mind you. It’s sort of in the middle. It looks like the kind of movie you rent when you want to get an action fix and you have seen all of the better movies too many times.
One thing that really surprises me is that they give Chris Brown any play in the trailer. His name isn’t one I would want associated with my movie. Then again, maybe they aren’t worried about alienating the type of person that would skip a movie for what he did. They are after a different target audience, I suppose.
The other thing that surprises me is Hayden Christensen’s hat.
Also starring Matt Dillon and Paul Walker, “Takers” is scheduled to be released May 14.

Yeah, definitely middle of the road.
Better than I expected .. but still not good.
This looks kind off iffy to me. Its just been done to many times.
