Regular readers at It’s Just Movies have no doubt noticed that writer Cam Smith puts together a regular column for the site called “About That …” where he takes a look at a movie in development (or one that is at least rumored to be in development).
However, despite being Canadian, Cam has decided to take the week off. To make up for it, Cam is willing to let the readers pick the next movie he does for the series. The following poll will be up until Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Whichever movie receives the most votes will get the “About That …” treatment next week.
What a fun idea!
I like this. 🙂
Was hoping Sam Mendes and “Preacher” was going to be an option.
Michael:
I may be one day. However, I generally prefer to focus on films which have inspired recent news developments. When something concrete happens with “Preacher” I may run with it.
I picked The Avengers!
Oooh … can we do write in picks?
Robb G:
The problem with those is that they need to have some sort of development news accompanying them. For example: I’m sure people want an article on “Batman 3”. But what do we know about “Batman 3”? Nothing. Only that it will probably happen and Bale will be in it. Nolan’s involvement is a big question mark. I’m trying to stay away from blind fanboy speculation and actually have something semi-concrete to use as a jumping-off point. However, with all that said, feel free to message me ideas/wishes on Twitter and you just never know what’ll happen…
^ I would pick Superman. 🙂
The problem with “Superman” is that there is no film currently in development. Brandon Routh’s contract has expired, Bryan Singer’s moved on, and the Siegel family lawsuit has temporarily killed Warner Bros. chances for another Man of Steel flick. At the very earliest, you won’t see a new movie enterting development until around 2012.
Yeah, sorry for throwing everyone on a tangent.I actually voted for Avengers.I totally get your point Cam.Can’t report what isn’t there.
I would still like to see an Avengers artcle.
