Trailer Talk: ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It’

— by SEAN GERSKI —

I’m sure someone could make a really funny parody movie about the Judd Apatow movies. As entertaining as the movies are, there is a lot of territory to explore in a satire.

Unfortunately, this is not that movie. To give you an idea of the humor of this movie, the title — “The 40 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It” — is the funniest thing the movie has to offer (if the trailer is representative of the movie).

And if you don’t like that title, it originally was called “Slumdog Virgin” (are you laughing yet?).

I know it is easy for everyone to make fun of this new brand of parody movies, but the honest-to-God truth is that they are just not funny. It isn’t enough to simply reference another movie and expect people to laugh. They need to try to make actual jokes.

Anyway, here is the trailer for “The 40 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It.” Watch it if you dare. It left me mildly depressed and a little bit queasy.

    Ouch.

I miss the days when parodies where like Hot Shots. Scary Movie was the last good one ever made.

Dear God no… please tell me that’s a fake trailer. It can’t possibly be a real movie. Such a waste of money, time and resources. Well, somebody will like it. And that’s sad.

No. Because my muscles hurt from all the cringing.

This is the most depressing piece of trash I’ve ever seen. Snuff films have more artistic integrity.

i find these spoofs mildly amusing, i can laugh at the cheapness even tho its BAD, but honestly between this and say the last 5 spoof movies to come out, i swear the only way these are being funded is to launder drug money or something, cause they dont make any money at all i cant see how they can justify green lighting these. everyone that comes out manages to get the lowest rating ever on every movie website. I’ll still probably see it lol but something aint right here.

One thing that facinates me is that no matter how bad the productions in the media industry gets, there’s always some easely amused moron who pay for this crap. :p
However, there are a few productions that in fact stimulates the mind of the average human brain, too bad the average human is as dumb as the editors and producers of this insignificant crap recorded on a modern storage device known as a BlueRay disc. The reason for all this might be due to lack of creativity or proper funding for massproducing quality movies. This may also be caused by piracy that a big part of the earths population seem to use on daily basis. less people paying as i am sure you know result in less funding for new movies, games and other software. I am sure you are familiar with the sentence “If you like it, buy it!” Then if you actually find yourself doing this and not paying for the bad crap that you dislike you can be sure that there will be more funding for great movies rather than bad ones. Also, blinded by this mainstream media tunnelvision way of thinking, the media end up giving us the same thing over and over again as it is statistically a safe bet for making enough money to fund another crap product. eventually someone have to break this tremendously boring cycle of BS. 😀 I don’t know why i even bother saying all these things as it won’t make a difference anyway. perhaps i should blog about stuf like this instead so the ones who find it amuzing can read it there instead. But i’m afraid that blogging is most likely not a very high priority for me. Enjoy this desperate attempt of comedy and have a nice day. Cheers! 😀
