A Scene from ‘Grown Ups’

I remember the days when Adam Sandler being in a film use to guarantee its hilarity. Nowadays though, it only means that it’s destined for mediocrity. The same could be said for any of the other male cast members: Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James, Rob Schneider.

“Grown Ups” isn’t brimming with originality in its concept. Five guy friends reunite after years of not seeing each other. They reminisce about the past and try to do things they got away with in their youth. Not too surprisingly most have wives that are realistically too hot for them.

The clip below shows Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade and Kevin James checking out a chick who is trying to fix something underneath the hood of her car. They figure that it is creepy if they all look at her at the same time, so they decide to do it in shifts. The clip plays up the funny, but in another light this could actually be pretty disturbing. David Spade admits to stealing her spark plugs so she can’t fix her car and the older men leering at the young girl is pretty sketchy. I doubt, however, the film will go in that direction.

“Grown Ups” is directed by Dennis Dugan — “Benchwarmers,” “Saving Silverman,” “Big Daddy” — and will hit theatres June 25.

There is just too many hysterical stars in this for it not to be funny, then again people said the same about “Funny People”, and thats all Im saying! LOL but I do want to see this and hope its not a dissapointment.
