After watching “500 Days of Summer,” I would have never said that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a threatening or imposing figure. After watching the clip below for his new movie “Hesher,” I can now say I find him intimidating.
With his oily hair and tattoos, Gordon-Levitt emits bad boy, while Portman does the opposite in her baggy sweater and glasses, fumbling her sorries. In a minute and a half, both actors manage to establish their characters. Unfortunately, with no trailer to be found, we don’t really get any insight into the plot of “Hesher.”
According to Wikipedia, “Hesher” is about a young boy named TJ who losses his mother and finds a mentor in Hesher (Gordon-Levitt). Nicole (Portman) intervenes when TJ is in trouble and soon becoms the object of his fantasies.
“Hesher” premiered at the Sundance film festival last year, and is scheduled to be released in April. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Natalie Portman, Rainn Wilson, Piper Laurie and Devin Brochu.
