I guess I had just kind of hoped that gross-out humor had run its course, but no, apparently it’s alive and well. After the “hair gel” scene in “There’s Something About Mary” and the “pie scene” in “American Pie,” too many comedies made it a goal to be as disgusting as possible.
Unfortunately, they thought that merely being gross equated to comedy. It doesn’t. There should be a humorous reason for it. Too often, you see these comedies with disgusting moments and the audience isn’t laughing, its groaning — and I can’t believe that’s the desired effect the film makers were going for.
Due March 12, “She’s Out of My League” stars Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve, T.J. Miller, Jessica St. Clair, Nate Torrence, Krysten Ritter, Geoff Stults and Lindsay Sloane. There are some decent actors in there who have done some decent comedic work. I hope they bring some of it to this movie, because the fact that this is the clip they they decided to release isn’t a great sign.

I agree. Enough is enough.
I wish I was friends with Seth Rogen so I could be in a movie.
Yup, that clip isn’t remotely funny. It’s incompetence makes you appreciate the directors who do it so well.
