Behind the Scenes Clip: ‘Transformers 3’

— by JOSUE SANCHEZ —

I will admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed the last two “Transformers” movies. And trust me, this was not the popular fandom to belong to, since at the time of its release there was a lot of hating towards the series — especially the second movie. If you had the opportunity to read the critics’ reviews at the time of their releases, both movies were ripped to shreds.

Yet, I thought they were fun and exciting, action packed and the special effects where flawless. This is what I expect from the third installment as well when it hits theaters July 1, 2011.

I didn’t have a problem with Megan Fox’s acting because that was a price well paid for me. She is outrageously beautiful, and she became important to the franchise. No matter how bad an actor she may be, she was a huge part of the draw to the movie. The relationship between the two lead characters was a huge part of the first two movies. It was part of the comedy, it was part of the action, and whether some like it or not, it was a love story.

This is why I am seriously curious about how they intend to explain her not being in the third film. How is a billion-dollar franchise is going to explain the loss of one its lead characters and simply go about it as if she is completely expendable?

Well, apparently Megan Fox is one of the expendables. Watch the clip below, it is a behind-the-scenes video of the filming. It shows two people who appear very much in love. They are kissing and hugging. One is Shia LaBeouf’s character Sam, and the other is Megan’s replacement Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who plays Carly.
