Here we are, right at start of what may be one of the biggest movie years ever. Yes, this year we will be bombarded with super-hero movies, computer animated movies and action movies galore. And I can’t forget to mention the avalanche of 3-D movies that will be jumping off the screen at us this year.
With the success of 3-D ventures like “Avatar” and “Alice in Wonderland,” it will be raining 3-D movies for a long time before the fad wears out. It has happened in the past already, 3-D went strong for a decade or so in the 1950s and then it abruptly died.
One movie coming up that happens to be third-dimensional — and one that I pray survives the landslide rush of this summer’s movie line-ups — is “How to Train Your Dragon.” With such beautiful art and style, it deserves a better fate than just falling into the shuffle.
I have fond memories for this story from reading the books a few years back, and everything I have seen so far for this movie matches the special feeling that I always got from the book series.
“How to Train Your Dragon” — starring the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, America Ferrera, T.J. Miller and Craig Ferguson — will be released March 26.

Thank you for the preview, looks like a good movie and I am sure it will look amazing in 3D personally I’m not a fan of Animated movies so I think I will give it a miss. But I do appreciate all the work involved in making this sort of movie. I hope it does well
I didn’t know this movie was based on a series of books! I’ll have to look for them. I’ve loved the trailer for this movie since I first saw it and I am looking forward to taking my nieces & nephews to see it. Your review only makes me want to see it more. Great job, Josue!!
The buzz on this one is surprisingly strong…
I just can’t wait to see the movie because I’ve seen the trailer to this movie and I just can’t wait to see the movie this Friday!!!!
