J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” is set to beam down to stores everywhere on DVD and blu-ray on Nov. 17.
The re-imagining of the early days of the original Star Trek crew grew large crowds in theaters this spring and recently re-appeared in IMAX theaters for a limited run starting Sept. 4.
It has become evident that we Trekkers can never get enough and this latest “Trek” is about as good as it gets (according to my database).
Also of note to fans, it recently was announced that “Star Trek” topped the list of Scream 2009 Award nominees with 17 nods, including nominations for Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Director and Best Ensemble. The award show will air on Spike TV Oct. 27.
After hearing she was nominated for two awards, Zoe Saldana, who played Uhura in the movie, commented, “Getting nominated for kissing a Vulcan is a better fate than logic.” Saldana was nominated for Best Breakout Performance: Female and Best Science Fiction Actress.

This movie had above average casting and Zoe is hot.
Glad to hear this is coming out on DVD soon. Uhura was hot but I go more for the guys on the crew.
I saw this movie twice in the theater. I enjoyed it 10x more the first time. The most fun part about the movie is seeing how the crew comes togther for the first time. That is lost in subsequent viewings. I will still pick up the blu-ray, though.
All be the first to say, that im more into star wars then i was in to star trek
but after seeing Star Trek 2009 i was hook on can’t wait intill the movie release on dvd/bluray
