It's Just Movies

This may be the weirdest trailer you will ever see, so be prepared. “Bitch Slap” is described as “a post-modern, thinking man’s throwback to the ‘B’ Movie/Exploitation films of the 1950s to ’70s as well as a loving, sly parody of the same.” Now that is a long description — which is pretty much dead on, except for the film almost looks a little soft-core pornish.

While you’re watching the trailer, you’ll see parts that could almost make a very decent action movie. Then it ruins it by showing something extremely corny and out-of-place. Which it seems that is exactly what they were going for with their “B” movie.

This film follows the paths of three girls (a down-and-out stripper, a drug-running killer and a corporate powerbroker). These curvaceous babes arrive at a desert hideaway to steal over $200 million from an underworld kingpin. Now, these women hold the fate of the world as they are forced to face an atrocious villain.

This films stars Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, America Olivo and Michael Hurst, with cameos by Lucy Lawless, Kevin Sorbo and Renée O’Connor. Rick Jacobson wrote/directed this so-called action flick. So for me, I don’t think I’ll be watching it anytime soon, but I have to say the trailer was at least quite amusing to watch.

“Bitch Slap” hits theaters with a limited release on January 8, 2010.
