“This Is It” is the last project Michael Jackson was working on before his untimely death. Somehow, though, I doubt it will be the last new Michael Jackson music or work we will ever see.
Directed by Kenny Ortega, the DVD will feature a behind-the-scenes view including interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage taken of Michael as he envisioned and prepared for the series of sold-out concerts in London.
It’s hard to comprehend that they have managed to put together such a visually-stunning compilation in such a short time.
The trailer really does get your heart pounding with anticipation and reminds you of the entertainer that we’ve all lost. He truly was a wonderfully talented artist and he is certainly missed.
The documentary is being distributed by Sony and tickets will go on sale Sept. 27 for the two-week theatrical release starting Oct. 28.
Also just reported, Sony Music Entertainment has reached a deal with Michael Jackson’s estate to release a soundtrack to accompany the documentary.
No release date has been given for the DVD or Blu-ray version of the movie.
