Imagine TV’s House quitting the medical field and joining the New Orleans Police Department. That’s how Werner Herzog’s new film, “Bad Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans,” can be summed up to.
Starring Nicolas Cage as Terence McDonough, a heroin addicted “up-holder of the law” with an ego-problem, “Bad Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans” is gearing up to be Herzog’s most mainstream and offbeat film yet.
Nicolas Cage has been on a downward spiral for the past couple years, but I have no doubt that this is going to be the revival of his career.
In addition to Cage, “Bad Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans” stars Eva Mendes, Val Kilmer, Fairuza Balk, Jennifer Coolidge, Vondie Curtis Hall, Shawn Hatosy, Denzel Whitaker, Xzibit, Shea Wigham, Katie Chonacas and Brad Dourif.
