Trailer Talk: ‘The Missing Person’

— by MARIUSZ ZUBROWSKI —

Director Noah Buschel’s new film, “The Missing Person,” looks like a dark crime drama.

Its plot revolves around a private detective who is hired to follow a man named Harold Fullmer on a train from Chicago to Los Angeles.

Detective John Roscow later uncovers the truth behind Harold Fullmer, who is supposed to be one of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Roscow is faced with a moral dilemma of either returning Harold Fullmer to a past that he has left behind for a large cash reward or leaving him to live his newfound life.

The film’s visual direction seems to be dark and gloomy to reflect on the film’s dark atmosphere. Michael Shannon stars as John Roscow. Other cast members include Amy Ryan, Frank Wood and Linda Emond.

“The Missing Person” is slated for release in New York City on Nov. 20.
