This week is Comic Con down in San Diego, Calif., and throngs of fans, geeks and super fans will be heading to the city for one of the world’s largest fan conventions of the year. And Comic Con isn’t just about comics, of course; it is known for exclusive panels with actors and film-makers, sneak peeks at upcoming projects in all forms of media ranging from television shows, web-series, movies and much more.
One of the most fun invites during Comic Con will be an exclusive party with the cast of the upcoming sci-fi comedy “Rock Jocks.” The movie is filled with some of the most talented and fan-friendly actors in the business, including Felicia Day (“The Guild”), Doug Jones (“Pan’s Labyrinth”), Jason Mewes (“Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”), Justin Chon (“Twilight”), Robert Picardo (“Star Trek Voyager”), Andrew Bowen (“MADtv” and “Reno 911!”), YouTube sensation Kevin “Jumba” Wu and many more talented individuals.
I had the privilege of visiting the set of the film a few months ago and speaking with some of the actors, crew and writer/director Paul Seetachitt in an exclusive interview about the film.
And if you are going to Comic Con or will be in the San Diego area this next weekend, then you are in luck. The “Rock Jocks” VIP party will take place in the Gaslamp Quarter at Trattoria La Strada July 23 at midnight and you can enter to win tickets to this exclusive party, which will be host to the premiere of the “Rock Jocks” official movie trailer and will have celebrity appearances and much more.
What do you have to do to enter this sweepstakes? It’s easy, just head to the “Rock Jocks” film’s Facebook page and “Like” them, then enter the sweepstakes and they will pick some very lucky fans to join the party this next weekend.
Winners will receive a ticket for themselves and one guest to attend what is going to be a highlight of the Comic Con weekend. You better hurry, because the contest ends July 23, 2011 at 5 pm (PDT).
