‘Wonder Woman’ TV Series Picked Up

It looks like Wonder Woman will return to the small screen after all.

Deadline reported NBC has picked up David E. Kelley’s pilot script.

From Deadline:

The project is described as a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

Now, that sounds interesting. I can’t wait to see the DC heroine back in live-action and hopefully the ratings will be good enough to get a full season order.

When I read the part “vigilante crime fighter” I was starting to think of the updated Wonder Woman costume that was revealed last year (pictured at right). Could this suit be the same that David E. Kelley has used for his Wonder Woman? I guess we will find out.

In the meantime, discuss and leave your comment. Are you excited that Wonder Woman will get her shot again on the small screen after all? Who do you see playing the role?
