A week and a half ago, we showed you the new poster for “The Invention of Lying” (go here for proof). Today, HitFix.com has an exclusive clip from the movie.
It certainly will be interesting to see how this movie does. My ticket is already brought (thanks to Ricky Gervais), but it will be intriguing to see how interested other people are in the movie.
The movie’s plot is a fairly high concept one. “The Invention of Lying” is set on an alternate Earth, where no one has ever lied. Gervais’ character tells the world’s first lie, and he starts to wield its power for personal gain.
There are a lot of popular actors in the cast, but it doesn’t look like the movie will appeal to everyone. Gervais has plenty of devoted fans, but are there enough of them? We will get answers starting Oct. 2, when the movie arrives.
