It's Just Movies

Below is an extended TV spot from “Super 8,” which was written and directed by J.J. Abrams (with Steven Spielberg on board as a producer).

The movie — which stars Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Gabriel Basso and A.J. Michalka — arrives in theaters June 10 both standard and IMAX theatres.

Here’s what we know of the plot so far:

Set in 1979 Ohio, a group of six young children use a Super 8 camera to make their own zombie movie. One night while filming near a remote stretch of railroad tracks, the children witness a truck collide with an oncoming train leading to a catastrophic derailment. Amidst the fire and destruction, something inhuman emerges.

It’s easy to be excited for this one. I can’t wait to see what Abrams has in store for us.
