It looks like Tom Hardy may be joined by two former co-stars in the upcoming Batman movie.
The French newspaper Le Figaro has confirmed that Marion Cotillard (Mal from “Inception”) is in talks to join the “The Dark Knight Rises.” The Hollywood Reporter revealed the schedule if she does join — she would start shooting in London during mid-June, then she would film all summer in L.A. and Pittsburgh. The wrap up for her would be in New York during mid-November.
THR mentions that Christopher Nolan is meeting with a couple of actresses for the love interest for Christian Bale, including Kate Winslet, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts. They also suspect that the other female role is Talia Al Ghul, which has been speculated on before.
But that’s not all; according to Deadline, it seems that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Arthur from “Inception”) is also in talk to join his two former “Inception” co-stars for Nolan’s final chapter of the Dark Knight.
It would fantastic if Gordon-Levitt and Cotillard joined “TDKR.” After Cotillard’s performance as Mal, I can imagine her doing an excellent portrayal of Talia Al Ghul. As for Gordon-Levitt, I have read some other people’s thoughts on the Internet and some have mentioned him as the Riddler, others as Robin. Even though Nolan said the Riddler isn’t going to be in the movie, you never know though with Nolan. I think the Riddler would be the best role for Gordon-Levitt to play, and the way Nolan writes the DC characters in his more realistic world of Batman; Gordon-Levitt would bring an awesome portrayal of the Riddler to the big screen.
“The Dark Knight Rises” is scheduled for a July 20, 2012, release. In the meantime, discuss and leave your comments at the right. Are you excited Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are possibly going to be in the final chapter of Nolan’s Batman? What roles should they play?
