What’s a guy to do when it’s nearly Labor Day and all the great end-of-the-summer party themes have been done before? Throw a good old-fashioned orgy, of course.

The ensemble comedy “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy” centers on Eric (Jason Sudeikis) a 30-something guy stuck in an adolescent mindset, who always throws wild parties at his father’s swanky house in the Hamptons. But when his father announces he’s selling the house, Eric decides to throw the end all, be all of Labor Day extravaganzas.

When he can’t think of a theme to top the themes of parties past, Eric comes up with an idea so crazy it just might be brilliant: An orgy. His best friend Mike (Tyler Labine) is instantly supportive, but the rest of their close-knit group of pals may need a little convincing. Can Eric pull of his good old-fashioned orgy without a hitch? And will the party be enough to get Kelly (Leslie Bibb), the realtor selling his dad’s house, to notice him?

When I first read the description for “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy,” I thought it sounded so stupid I thought it would be a ridiculous waste of time. But after watching some of the clips from the film, I found myself laughing in spite of myself. I probably won’t pay to see this one in theaters, but it has the potential to be a great weekend rental, a concept so silly it may actually work.

“A Good Old-Fashioned Orgy” debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in April and hits theaters Sept. 2. It stars Sudeikis, Labine, Bibb, Lake Bell, Michelle Borth, Martin Starr, Nick Kroll, Lindsay Sloane, Angela Sarafyan, Lucy Punch and Will Forte. Check out four clips from the movie below.

In the first clip, Eric and Mike pitch the idea of the orgy to their pals.

Next, Adam (Kroll) lets slip to the gang’s soon-to-be-married friend Glenn (Forte) that they plan to host an orgy.

During the party, Mike challenges to Eric to a game of chicken, with a twist.

And finally, Glenn and Kate (Punch) take time out of their wedding to express their anger that they weren’t invited to the orgy.
