Jason Reitman’s “Up in the Air” was one of the most buzzed about films at Toronto this year, and this new clip offers a glimpse of the dramedy that is sure to be a major awards contender.
The film follows the personal journey of Ryan Bingham (George Clooney), a corporate downsizing expert who is about to earn his 10 millionth frequent flyer mile. His busy professional life leaves little time for a personal one until he falls for Alex (Vera Farmiga), a fellow frequent traveler, and mentors Natalie (Anna Kendrick), his young new co-worker.
This looks like a great character drama with a strong cast, and it’s probably the film I’m most looking forward to this fall.
“Up in the Air” opens in limited release Dec. 4 and expands wide on Christmas Day (Dec. 25).
In the first clip, Ryan tries to explain his obsession with frequent flier miles to Natalie:
In the second clip, Ryan and Alex flirt while discussing airline perks:

I’m looking forward to this.
Clooney has such a great voice.
Love most of Clooneys stuff and this looks funny and quirky. Hope it delivers at the show. Lots of disappointing stuff out there right now.
