We know that The Lizard (who will be played by Rhys Ifans) will be one of the villains in “The Amazing Spider-Man” and it looks like that a possible huge spoiler has been leaked with regards to the battle between the web-slinger and The Lizard.
Big Fan Boy, reveals — thanks to a trusted reader of theirs — a potential fight scene that was leaked from a crew member on the Spidey set.
Before you read this — keeping in mind it is a rumor for the time being — consider this as a possible spoiler.
“One of the primary important crew members (who shall remain nameless) recently let it slip to one of our readers (a trusted one at that) that many of the stunt actors in the film have been spending time in heavy make-up for hours on end because of a fight scene in the film where they’re turning all the S.W.A.T. team guys into reptilian creatures … which I’d assume is some nefarious work of The Lizard.”
I would also say that this is something that The Lizard probably is responsible for, but what about the evil scientist Nels Van Adder (who will be played by Iffran Khan)? We all know he isn’t going to become Proto-Goblin, which Khan has stated himself, but he is still one of the villains and it would make sense to the audience if Adder would make people mutate into creatures — in this case reptilian creatures. I’m sure some of you have thought of a potential Dr. Connors/The Lizard and Adder team up, which is a possibility as well.
Now, I think a scene with Spidey (played by Andrew Garfield) fighting not just The Lizard but also a group of mutated people would look incredible, especially in 3D — so hopefully this rumor will turn out to be true. Since this will be the first live adaption of The Lizard, it’s going to be interesting to see how they’ll make him look in live-action.
The reason I think this spoiler is true is that I could imagine Marc Webb wanting to bring something new for Spider-Man’s battles against any villain and perhaps thinking that people will enjoy seeing Spidey kicking a larger group of enemies at the same time.
I have to say, my expectations for this movie are getting more and more positive.
The Amazing Spider-Man is scheduled to be released in theaters July 3, 2012. In the meantime, discuss and leave your comments to the right. Would you like to see Spider-Man battling The Lizard and his lizard-army?
