We know that Bane (Tom Hardy) and Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) will be the two villains in “The Dark Knight Rises” — but they may not be the only two opponents the caped crusader will have to face.

According to a source, Bad Ass Digest revealed a possible huge spoiler in TDKR, so before you read this — keeping in mind it is a rumor for the time being — consider this as a possible spoiler:

“As she herself confirmed, Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman in the movie. I can’t tell you what role she has in the beginning, but by the end of the story Catwoman isn’t a villain but rather an ally of Batman. And who are they teaming up to take out?

The League of Shadows.

Headed by Talia al Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didn’t know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows.”

In my personal opinion, I think when it comes to Catwoman being an ally of Batman that could happen. It’s hard to imagine (at least for me) that Nolan would make Catwoman a villain since he does his characters as realistically as possible. Making her an ally would make more sense to me. But I wouldn’t mind seeing her as a villain, so I’m excited to see which side of the law she ends up on.

The League of Shadows and Talia al Ghul’s involvement would make sense as well. Their purpose would probably to avenge Ra’s al Ghul (who was played by Liam Neeson in “Batman Begins”). And I’m interested in seeing the reason for Bane’s involvement with the LoS.

Also, if Talia Al’Ghul is in TDKR, then could this also be a confirmation on which role Marion Contillard (“Inception”) would play? I would love to see her as Talia. As for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, if he would be the Black Mask, I wonder what Nolan would do with that character in his Batman world.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is scheduled for a July 20, 2012, release. In the meantime, discuss and leave your comments to the right. Could you see Catwoman as a ally to Batman? Would you like to see Talia and the League of Shadows in TDKR?
