It was revealed almost a week ago that a “Wonder Woman” TV show is currently on its way back to the small screen and now it looks like a certain angry green man from Marvel Comics is also getting back to the small screen: The Incredible Hulk.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed ABC is working along with Marvel Comics on bringing The Hulk back in a new TV series. Unlike Wonder Woman, it wasn’t that long ago that the Hulk had his time on the big screen. In 2003, the movie “Hulk” was done with Eric Bana as Bruce Banner. The role was later recast with Edward Norton, who played Bruce Banner in the movie “The Incredible Hulk,” which came out in 2008. The character is scheduled to appear in “The Avengers,” which will be out in 2012, and this time the actor will be Mark Ruffalo.
According to THR, “Cloak and Dagger” is also a priority next to The Hulk.
One thing, I find both irritating and interesting about the idea of a Hulk show is that while the character is lined up for “The Avengers” movie, it is also set to be featured on a television show. Meanwhile, Batman couldn’t have a guest appearance on “Smallville” because of the ongoing movie franchise. Bruce Wayne couldn’t even make an appearance. Warner Brothers/DC Entertainment plays by different rules than Marvel Comics/Disney, I suppose.
Both Hulk movies were OK, but from what I have read about those movies, it seems that The Hulk hasn’t been as successful as other comic book properties when it comes to movies. If the show is not going to be related to the movie, why make a TV show about a character whose appearance in hasn’t been that popular? In any event, I’m not going to judge the idea or the show at all before they have actually started working on it.
So, who do you think could play the role on the small screen? Share your ideas in the comments section. And stay tuned for more news the coming months.

Could be interesting. If it happens I hope abc/disney gives the show a proper budget. Also it would be sweet if it’s set within the marvel movie verse. So they could move hulk’s story while in between avengers films. Then also any chances for marvel movie actors like jackson as fury or something doing special appearance.
