Ken Howard is having quite a week.
A few days after picking up a surprise Emmy for his role in the HBO movie “Grey Gardens,” the veteran actor was elected president of the Screen Actors Guild today.
Howard, who is succeeding Alan Rosenberg, defeated Anne-Marie Johnson in his bid to lead the actors’ union.
Among the actors endorsing Howard were Tom Hanks, Hector Elizondo, Felicity Huffman, Sally Field, Tony Shalhoub and William H. Macy.
