Lynda Carter Weighs in on New Wonder Woman Show

— by JOSUE SANCHEZ —

The web has definitely been buzzing about the new “Wonder Woman” TV show in the works.

One comment you’ll usually find accompanied by talk of any live-action Wonder Woman is the lead actress stacks up to Lynda Carter, who played “Wonder Woman” in the hit series that ran from 1975 to 1979. Carter definitely made a lasting impression; so much so that decades later she is the template.

This probably places plenty of pressure on Adrianne Palicki, the current actress taking on the role. But Palicki she seems to be holding her ground, staying confident and having fun — if those previous filming clips we recently saw are any sign.

When interviewed by “The Talk” recently, Carter shares her opinion on the new Wonder Woman costume (if you haven’t seen it yet, click here) and the possibility of her doing a cameo on the show.

Check out what she said:

About the new costume:

“You really want to know?” Carter said. “I like my costume the best. They were trying to update with the way we’re all doing leggings now and skinny jeans. I think it’s kind of trying to do that.”

About the creator and pilot writer David E. Kelley:

“He’s a brilliant guy,” she praised.

About a possible cameo for her in the new series:

“I’ve talked to David E. Kelley, who’s a brilliant writer, a number of times and we’re hoping to plan something. But I cannot reveal …” she said, not wanting to give too much away. “David E. Kelley is full of surprises, so you never know what’s going to happen.”

So what do you think about her comments? Would you like her to make a cameo in the new show? What role could she play?

“Wonder Woman” aims to hit TV screens in the upcoming 2011 fall season.
