Louisiana’s Jefferson Parish Police Department is “under siege.”
It’s a little-known fact that Steven Seagal is an actual sheriff for his hometown’s police department, but that is going to change in December.
A&E has a new show called “Lawman” that chronicles Seagal’s adventures on the force.
Seagal’s latest film, “Against the Dark,” had him cast as a vampire hunter, and let me be the first one to tell you, it was painful, but Seagal on an actual police force catching criminals sounds like a good idea.
He was once a feared marital artist — and, sure, he has packed on the pounds — but I think this is going to be one of the best new shows on television.

If by best you mean good, then “Lawman” isn’t even in the running. If by best you mean so awesomely bad I have to watch, then you are right on the money!
darn, how did this slip past me? im watching this BIG TIME!! Seagal actually lost weight for this!!
I’ve never been a fan of his work, but this may be different. I have developed a little bit of interest in catching this.
