An official poster recently was released for “The Lovely Bones” staring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon and newcomer Saoirse Ronan.
Peter Jackson directed the film, which is based on a best-selling book with the same name written by Alice Sebold. The screenplay was written by Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.
The plot centers on a young girl who has been murdered and now watches over her family — and her killer — from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.
Expect “The Lovely Bones” to surface in theaters Dec 11.

The poster is freaky but awesome. Just looking at it makes me want to watch the movie way more that the plot.
