Your mission, should you choose to except it, is to watch the first “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” trailer. Granted, it’s dubbed in French, but if you can’t wait to watch the English version, which is set to debut before “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” I suggest you take a gander below.
Honestly, I wasn’t too thrilled about another “Mission” installment. Sure, the third one was much better than the second; however, like many of you, I’m kinda getting tired of sequels. Then Jeremy Renner signed on along with Simon Pegg and Paula Patton.
Since I enjoy all three actors, my opinion began to sway a bit. By the way, rumor has it, Tom Cruise will be passing the “MI” torch to Renner. If this is true, Renner is shaping up to be a new action star. As of April of this year, he’s also attached to “The Bourne Legacy.”
In addition to the impressive cast, what also intrigued me was the choice in director — Brad Bird, who is mostly known for “The Incredibles” and “Ratatouille.” So the question is this: Will the transition from animation to live-action be a smooth and successful one? After viewing the exciting teaser that leaked over the weekend from France, I’m optimistic. But don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself and do so quickly before the clip self-destructs as it has already on other sites.
So what do you think? Are you on board for “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”?
One last thing, props to whomever chose Eminem’s “Won’t Back Down.” It fits the teaser perfectly.
