Get ready for more Sulley and Mike Wazowski. Disney recently announced a sequel to its smash 2001 Pixar film “Monsters, Inc.” to be released Nov. 16, 2012. The first film grossed more than $525 million worldwide.
No official word yet on whether John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Steve Buscemi will lend their voices to the sequel — unless you consider the sometimes accurate Wikipedia, which also notes Justin Bartha, Gary Oldman and James Earl Jones will join the cast. My guess is Goodman, Crystal and Buscemi will be back for more “Monsters.”
Also, there are no leads on a plot, but moviegoers can make their guesses. Not enough laughter to sustain power in Monstropolis? A grown-up Boo visits her monster pals?
Whatever happens with our furry blue and one-eyed green friends in this next chapter, let’s just hope Roz doesn’t get too much screen time. That CGI broad creeps me out!
