The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: Six Clips

— by JOSUE SANCHEZ —

thehobbit-12I saw “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” earlier this week in 48 frames-per-second IMAX 3D. No, I didn’t get dizzy or sick or nauseous; instead I was impressed. This is one of the best movies of the year, and it will be remembered a long time from now. Personally, I don’t think it will matter what format you prefer, the movie will be fun, exciting and epic regardless.

I am pleased to see all the positive reaction from all my personal social networks. People are excited to watch this weekend, as well they should be. What Peter Jackson has done here is put together a fantastic new group of actors, along with bringing back many others from the previous trilogy.

What we get is a revolving serious of emotions that feel like old memories coming back to life from when I first read “The Hobbit” many years ago, and when I watched “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy in theaters more than a decade ago. This movie seems to have always existed once you watch it, but nothing we had ever seen looked this spectacular.

Personally, I urge everyone to run to their nearest cinema this weekend and check this out. It is a unique experience we might never get a chance to see again in movie theaters. And if you have not read our (It’s Just Movies) review of the film already, check it out HERE.

If you are planning on watching it this weekend and want to star immersing yourself in the universe created for us by J.R.R. Tolkien, and brought to life by Peter Jackson, check out the clips below. They don’t spoil the movie in any way in my opinion, but instead, wHet your appetite for more.

Since I have watched the movie, I have arranged the clips in the order they happen in the movie.

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” is in theaters now. It is rated PG-13 and also stars Ian Holm, Elijah Wood, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Andy Serkis and the company of dwarves are Ken Stott, Graham McTavish, William Kircher, James Nesbitt, Stephen Hunter, Dean O’Gorman, Aidan Turner, John Callan, Peter Hambleton, Jed Brophy, Mark Hadlow, and Adam Brown.
