Trailer: Snow White and the Huntsman

“Snow White and the Huntsman” is almost upon us. And with two live-action films based on the same fairy tale releasing this year alone — along with two television shows that touch on the fairy tale — it is almost an overload on the basis story. However, new director Rupert Sands offers a different take on the well-known tale and weaves a story of a brave, courageous young woman who is the only hope to release a land smothered by the dark power of the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron).

In the following trailer, which is almost three minutes long, we see more depth into the Evil Queen’s dark power and the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who she hires to go into the Dark Forest to get Snow White (Kristen Stewart) after the queen realizes the young girl she has watched grow to a young woman will be the end of her dark reign.

After making a huge mark in his role as Thor in last summer’s blockbuster film of the same name, Chris Hemsworth is back again to fight evil with the help of Kristen Stewart. This film is the first action film for the actress and if you attended WonderCon this past weekend, you would have been privy to the details of what Stewart had to do in order to successfully pull off her stunts and action scenes.

Even though she is best known for her role in the “Twilight” franchise, the young actress has been doing films for a little over a decade now. She has starred alongside veterans in the business and they have praised her work. And Charlize Theron, who always delivers stellar performances, is the other main attraction for this film.

Watch the trailer below to see a grittier and action packed version of the classic tale. “Snow White and the Huntsman” is due out in theaters on June 12. Is it be one of your most anticipated films of the summer?
