Trailer Talk: ‘All-Star Superman’

— by ANDY BEHBAKHT —

“Superman/Batman: Apocalypse” will be released this coming Tuesday and it looks like DC is ready to unleash its next animated movie: “All-Star Superman.”

“All-Star Superman” was an impressive 12-issue comic book series by writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely. The movie is being directed by Sma Liu, the same director who helmed “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths,” and the script was written by Dwayne McDuffie. There isn’t really too much information about the movie so far, as for now the most significant information available is about the voice actors. Those of you who are big fans of “Desperate Housewives” will be happy to hear the voice of the Man of Steel will be done by James Denton (better known as Mike Delfino). And I’m sure a lot of you out there will recognize Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”), who will voice Lois Lane, and Anthony LaPaglia, who will voice Lex Luthor.

From the looks of this trailer, it appears this will be one of the most interesting Superman stories ever introduced into a movie from the comics. I’m totally excited about this movie and all I will say about this trailer is that as a Superman fan, you are going to love this.

Stay tuned for more information about “All-Star Superman,” which is aiming for release in Spring 2011.
