What happens when you put Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis in a road trip movie directed by “The Hangover’s” Todd Phillips? Pure comedic genius, if the trailer for “Due Date” is any indication.
Peter (Downey) is leaving Atlanta to return home to Los Angeles, where his wife (Michelle Monaghan) is due to give birth in five days. After missing his flight, he decides to drive back to L.A. with aspiring actor Ethan. Peter probably wishes he would have just waited for another flight after having to experience multiple car accidents, Ethan’s waffle allergy and his incessant questioning (“What’s your favorite color? At what age did you lose your virginity? Do you like hot dogs?”).
In the film, Galifianakis has some great lines (including: “I once ate a foot-long corn dog on a nude beach. I’ll never do that again”; “I’ve got 90 friends on Facebook — 12 of them are pending, but I’ve got 90 friends”; and “You better check yourself before you wreck yourself.”) After Peter tells Ethan his dad left his family in 1977 and he hasn’t seen him since, Ethan bursts into hysterical laughter and says, “My dad would never do that. He loves me.” Priceless.
Between Downey’s charm and Galifianakis’s overall hilarity, their rush to get home for the big due date will surely be a fantastic ride.
Mark your calendars for this “Due Date,” set to be delivered to theaters on Nov. 5.

Ok, not at all what I expected from the name of the movie. Looks really funny, Zack Galifianakis and Robert Downy Jr are two really funny guys, I will definately be seeing this!
