George A. Romero is by far the world’s best zombie film director. With his first movie, “Night of the Living Dead” in 1968, he revolutionized a genre and created the extremely-well-loved zombie.
“Survival of the Dead” will be Romero’s sixth “Dead” Film. “Survival of the Dead” couldn’t be more right, because this trailer has to be the most gruesomely-bloody battle between zombies and people, where people take it to a whole new level and the zombies should be running from them.
This time around, it starts on a small island off the North American coast. The people on the island can’t bring themselves to slaughter their ex-loved ones (ex only because I would find it pretty hard to love a zombie).
As the danger becomes more real, a rebel hunts down all the zombies he can find, only to be banished from the island for assassinating his neighbors and friends. Back on the mainland, he stumbles upon a group of survivors in search of a place that hasn’t been touched to build a new life.
They end up taking a ferry back to the island and what ensues is a desperate struggle for survival and the answer to a question never posed in Romero’s “Dead” films: Can the living ever live in peace with the dead?
The trailer shows a tremendously grotesque and all-out-fun zombie killing ride. One of the most awesome things I have ever seen is the part where the zombie gets its face shot off and the skull lands on its neck.
Romero’s previous film, “Diary of the Dead,” lacked something, but this movie looks quite refreshing and hopefully will deliver another great “Dead” movie
The cast includes Alan van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Richard Fitzpatrick, Stefano DiMatteo, Athena Karkanis, Salar Madadi, Joris Jarsky, Matt Birman, Wayne Robson, Julian Richings, George Stroumboulopoulos and Pete Zedlacher.
Survival of the Dead does not have a release date as yet, but hopefully will be released early next year.

I really like the “Dead” films and this got me really excited to see the new one cant wait for it. Great preview.
Sounds scary! I’m not a horror movie guy, we will see. Great article Robert!
That man is a legend.
I really, really hope this one is better that “Day”, “Land” and “Diary”.
Cam, you’re obviously going to be disappointed because “Day” is the best out of all Romero films.
