In talking about “Wrong Turn at Tahoe” a few days ago, we mentioned how things weren’t going too well for past Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr.’s career. Well, somehow, things look even worse after seeing the trailer for “Hardwired.”

I literally have nothing good to say about this movie after seeing this trailer. I can’t do it. To me, it looks like the trailer for a bad syndicated TV show. The effects are terrible, the acting is worse and Val Kilmer’s wig is, well, you’ll see it.

“Hardwired” is headed straight to DVD (and is scheduled to arrive in stores today, Nov. 3).

Here’s the movie’s plot (in case you go against yor better judgment and actually rent this thing): After a tragic accident claims the lives of Luke Gibson’s (Gooding Jr.) wife and unborn child, he is left with critical injuries and complete amnesia. A new technological breakthrough from the Hexx Corporation — a Psi-Comp Implant that’s hardwired into Luke’s brain — saves his life, but Luke soon finds out that this new technology comes with a price and that the Hexx Corporation harbors sinister plans for the new device. With the help of new allies, Luke tries to recover the memories of his past while uncovering the Hexx Corporation’s true motives.
