Welcome back to the world of movies, Alyssa Milano. With her last mainstream flick being 2003’s “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star” (ouch!), the “Who’s the Boss?” and “Charmed” star is switching gears from writing about baseball to being the female lead in the upcoming “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.”
Milano plays Jesse, a girl who has a problem many of us ladies dream about — having to choose between two fabulous guys who are in love with her. Turns out, this dream might not be all it’s cracked up to be.
Jesse meets struggling writer Ethan (“Ugly Betty” cutie Christopher Gorham) in a coffee shop. They start dating, which according to the trailer includes sitting on a blanket watching the stars and playing mini-golf. Ethan even saves Jesse from getting splashed by an oncoming car. Swoon. Jesse becomes a sort of muse for Ethan, whose writing starts to improve now that she’s in his life.
Then, Jesse meets Troy (Michael Landes of “Possesion”) in a restaurant and he sweeps her off her feet with romantic dinners and roses in her bedroom. What is Jesse going to do with two Mr. Rights?
The trailer doesn’t give you any hint who Jesse might choose, with Ethan popping the question and Troy asking Jesse to run away with him. Milano might have picked a great romantic comedy to star in after her hiatus – one that will hopefully leave moviegoers guessing about who this character will pick in the end.
Catch “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend” in theaters May 1. Milano fans can also watch her on “Romantically Challenged,” a new comedy debuting on ABC April 5.

Not sure, it does scream girl movie although that’s not always a bad thing.
