The new international trailer is out for Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood” and while I hear people comparing it to “Gladiator,” it reminds me far more of Clive Owen’s “King Arthur” from a few years back.
In fact, it really doesn’t remind me much of “Robin Hood” (in much the same way that Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” doesn’t really remind me of Sherlock Holmes), but these new breeds of blockbusters are seemingly giving us traditional heroes in bold new forms — not that there is anything wrong with that.
Formerly known as “Nottingham,” “Robin Hood” is scheduled to be released May 14, 2010. It stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Scott Grimes, Steve Seiter Jr., Alan Doyle and Matthew MacFadyen.

saw the trailer last night myself, i think it looks cool. I might be checking it out when it comes.
It does remind me of King Arthur. Looks pretty good.
It seems like rather a lot of violence for PG13. Unless they decided to change the rating.
Russell looks very, very good.
Looks fantastic.
