Here’s a look at Daniel Radcliffe’s first post-Harry Potter film .
The movie — titled “The Woman in Black” — is about a young lawyer who travels to a remote English town to sort out a recently-deceased client’s papers. While settling his former client’s affairs, Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe) experiences unexplainable events and comes to realize the town is haunted by a ghost.
Based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Susan Hill, “The Woman in Black” also stars Janet McTeer (“Cat Run”) and Ciarán Hinds (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II”).
The teaser is just that, a teaser. Not much is shown, but the overall tone is set. “The Woman in Black” is a Gothic ghost story and Daniel Radcliffe looks handsome with sideburns.
I think it’s safe to assume his career will continue to thrive long after the release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II.” Radcliffe is receiving rave reviews for his performance on the stage in “How to Succeed In Business” as J. Pierrepont Finch and from what is revealed from the 46-second spot below, he’s not Harry Potter in a waist coat. Color me interested.
“The Woman in Black” opens Oct. 28 of this year in the UK. Hopefully, an announcement will be made soon about a US release dates.
