Two Clips from ‘The Grey’

When an oil drilling team survives a plane crash in the wilds of Alaska, they have a tough time trying to survive and keep from freezing to find their way back to civilization. As they begin their journey back, they soon find themselves being hunted by a pack of wolves that look as the humans in their territory as not only intruders but also food.

In clip one, Ottway (Liam Neeson) tells the others to head for the shelter of the trees as they soon discover that it is not a lone wolf but a pack that are on their trail and closing fast.

In clip two, as they hear the pack of wolves all around them, Ottway explains the way that they will need to deal with them.

“The Grey” looks like an action-packed drama that deals with so many fears and what we would do to survive and to overcome those fears. It appears director Joe Carnahan will have us on the edge of our seats.

“The Grey” — which also stars Dermot Mulroney, Frank Grillo, Dallas Roberts, Joe Anderson, James Badge Dale and Nonso Anozie — opens in theaters Jan. 27.
