Two Clips from ‘The Hangover Part II’

— by SHERICE ANTOINETTE —

On Thursday, the Wolf Pack returns to the big screen for yet another crazed bender. Trading Sin City for the City of Squalor (Bangkok, Thailand) the ante is upped when Phil (Bradley Cooper), Alan (Zach Galifiniakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) arrange what they hope to be a calm evening for their buddy Stu (Ed Helms) a night before his wedding.

Of course, what occurs is anything but tranquil.

In the first clip below, Phil and Alan awake inside a seedy hotel. Both look the worse for wear as a bald Alan and a hungover Phil find Stu half naked in a bathtub sporting a tribal tattoo similar to Mike Tyson’s, who had a cameo in the first “Hangover.”

In the second spot, the boys evade men on motorcycles while Stu attempts to pry a monkey from a door handle. With Mr. Chow behind the wheel, rounds are shot and a pig plowed as the chase takes place through a busy street. And Stu who already had the misfortune of having his face branded with ink, is covered in pig remains as the car careens into a street market.

The first spot is pretty funny whereas the second is just insane and makes no sense out of context.

But from what I can tell, “Hangover II” is more outrageous than the second. Projected to open this weekend at around $95 million, it may bump “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” from the top spot — and that’s without inflated 3D ticket prices.

Directed by Todd Phillips, a third “Hangover” is sure to follow. However, it will be a departure from the first two. Phillips said, “It will not revolve around a wedding and it will not revolve around a forgotten night.” So, here’s assuming it revolves around a funeral.

“The Hangover Part II” opens in theaters May 26.

Will you watch it opening weekend? Voice your thoughts on the right.
