‘Wonder Woman’ TV Show Has its Steve Trevor

— by KATHLEEN COLLINS —

Justin Bruening, 31, has been cast as Steve Trevor, the love interest for Adrianne Palicki’s Wonder Woman in the upcoming NBC TV show.

While I have never seen anything he has done, he certainly has an interesting resume. After being discovered at a McDonald’s, Bruening started modeling for Abercrombie & Fitch. This led to his being cast in “All My Children” as Jamie Martin, a role that earned him the Soap Opera Digest Award as Outstanding Male Newcomer in 2005. He lost out on the lead role in “Superman Returns” to Brandon Routh in 2006. After that, he did a few guest roles on prime-time TV shows before landing the lead in the “Knight Rider” reboot in 2008-09.

Here is the description of the role from the casting call:

[STEVE TREVOR] Male, open ethnicity, 30s. A leading man Diana can’t look past. Good looking but a real man. An Army vet, he now works in the Justice dept…SERIES REGULAR, ASP.

Bruening fits the criteria based on age and looks. The rest is yet to be determined. Below you can see a “Knight Rider” promo video that shows plenty of Bruening.

He sounds good on paper, lets see if he will fit the role and have the proper chemistry for a romantic lead now.
