When I was younger, I thought bounty hunters hunted people and then killed them. Basically, I thought they were hit men. As I grew older (and watched some “Dog the Bounty Hunter”), I learned the error of my ways.
However, when I saw these clips for “The Bounty Hunter,” I wondered what the story would be like if the bounty hunter really was a hit man. It probably wouldn’t be as funny, though Gerard Butler could probably pull it off.
“The Bounty Hunter” stars Gerard Butler as a bounty hunter, Milo, who must take in his ex-wife, Nicole (Jennifer Aniston). Nicole, however, claims that she is part of a conspiracy and that being taken in by a bounty hunter is completely unnecessary. At first, Milo doesn’t believe her, but after he sees people going after Nicole, Milo is forced to concede.
The previews for “Bounty Hunter” look good, but not great. It’s always hard to tell with a comedy, though. Sometimes they end up putting the funniest stuff in the trailer, but other times the best stuff can’t be put in the trailer. I’m more inclined to go with the former.
“The Bounty Hunters” will be in theaters March 19.

This movie looks mean-spirited and painfully unfunny. It’s like MIDNIGHT RUN on stupid pills and with a woman in the Charles Grodin role.
