Writer-producer-director Edward Zwick has had a long, varied career, but he is most often remembered for his epic dramas (such as “Courage Under Fire,” “Legends of the Fall,” “The Last Samurai” and “Blood Diamond”).
He does have experience helming comedies, but it has been far too long since he has dabbled in the genre.
That is set to change, however, when Zwick directs “Love and Other Drugs,” a non-fiction book about a Viagra salesman.
The cast — which already featured Anne Hathaway, Jake Gyllenhaal and Judy Greer — recently added Oliver Platt, Gabriel Macht and Hank Azaria.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Macht plays a hotshot Prozac salesman who’s involved romantically with Maggie (Hathaway), a free-spirited woman with Parkinson’s disease who enters into a relationship with charming Viagra salesman Jamie (Gyllenhaal).”
The movie, which is said to be filming in Pittsburgh, is scheduled to be released in 2010.

Cool!
Can’t wait!
I was wondering what he has been up to. I’ll probably see this!
I love Anne Hathaway. I see just about everything she does, so I imagine I will see this.
This sounds like a good movie. I like the cast and the story sounds like it could be quite funny.
It will be strange to see him do a comedy again. I wonder if it will look “epic.”
Love his movies. Can’t wait to see this one.
Same here.
