The dating world is hard, especially if you have a kid. There is a lot of commitment involved. What if you’re pregnant and dating though? You’ve got to hope to find somebody who is willing to help raise a kid who is not theirs with you from the beginning.
This is the dilemma Jennifer Lopez’s character faces in “The Back-Up Plan.”
Zoe (Lopez) gets artificially inseminated right before meeting “the man of her dreams,” Stan (Alex O’Loughlin). Zoe tries to hide it for a little while, but soon has to tell Stan the truth. Stan then has to decide whether he is willing to take on all the commitment that being in a relationship with Zoe entails.
Below are six clips from “The Back-Up Plan” that provide some background into the plot.
In the first, we see Zoe with a pregnancy test, but none of the other clips talk about her insemination. In the second, we also see how gross Zoe’s food cravings are.
As the clips show, “The Back-Up Plan” does what most rom-coms do: rely on clichés. However, if the actors are up for it then “The Back-Up Plan” could become greater than just pratfalls and clichés.
Also starring Eric Christian Olsen and Anthony Anderson, “The Back-Up Plan” is in theaters now.

Seriously Jennifer needs a good movie! She’s always doing these types of flicks! I’ll wait for the DVD………. maybe!
I know she isn’t the easiest person to deal with, but that is one amazing looking woman.
It doesn’t look as bad as I anticipated.
