It’s really hard to not use “smurf” as a verb or an adjective when talking about the Smurfs, but I am going to give it a shot.
This poster is for the Smurfs 3-D movie due out next year and it looks exactly like what one would expect a 3-D version of a Smurf to look like.
However, I am not going to pretend like this is a movie I care about. At all. Much like many people of my generation, I watched “The Smurfs” animated show as a kid. But, unlike other things of my youth, the Smurfs never really stayed with me.
My guess is that kids will love it — and that’s great — but just don’t expect me to feel all “smurfy” … sorry, I mean nostalgic for the Smurfs.

I was an adult when the Smurfs were big so I was never “smurfy” towards them. Having no young kids goating me, I will pass on “The Smurfs”.
I will be seeing this. I love the Smurfs!
No thanks …
Great. I just got the opening theme out of my head last week, and now I have to endure a whole year of it.
When will they run out of old shows to exploit?
Love it.
