Despite its name, Labor Day is a day most of us look forward to for a much-needed day off. Writer-director-actor-etc. Kevin Smith, on the other hand, plans to do the opposite this year.
The popular filmmaker plans to spend the day working. Not hard labor, mind you, but working nonetheless. Smith, who is beloved for his “one of us” mentality, plans to spend Labor Day (Sept. 7) getting to know his fans.
Smith will spend the entire 24 hours on Twitter conversing with people who send him a message.
So if you have ever wanted to ask Smith a question, now is your chance.
Of course, you could also attend one of the incredible question-and-answer sessions he goes on tour with, but you have to stand in a long line to get to talk to Smith. This is far easier. Kind of. I mean, the man does have more than 1.2 million followers on Twitter. So good luck.

Now that is a ‘novel’ way to spend the final holiday of summer. I will have to think up a question to ask him.
I saw that Tweet earlier. It’s pretty neat to see celebs interacting with the populace.
I had to unfollow him during the day. His tweets were taking over my board. It was still a cool idea, though.
