Roland Emmerich, director of “Independence Day” and “The Day After Tomorrow,” has another doomsday tale in store for us: “2012.” And just watching the trailer was enough to make my heart pound.
If the trailer is a good indication of what the movie has to offer, it certainly is going to be an eye-popping, heart-stopping movie experience.
The movie’s official web site, www.whowillsurvive2012.com, roughly lays out the plot as follows: Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists and governments. ‘2012’ is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.
“2012” stars John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson.
Watch for the movie to hit theaters Nov. 13. Perhaps they wanted to give us plenty of time to prepare ourselves for Dec. 21, 2012.
